The underground comics pioneer R. Crumb gets busy in 1969 with Motor City Comics #1. Later in this issue he introduces us to Lenore Goldberg. This page is from the lead story and features and is the self titled "The Inimitable Boingy Baxter" (Detroit is a real Panic! -R. Crumb). This page shows what Boingy Baxter does best, escaping from people who're on his tail: Cops, pregnant mistress, etc...using his spring-tooled shoes. Boingy makes it all the way to China! Pen & ink on paper (10.75 x 14 inches - CM: 27 x 35.5), excellent condition.
