Cruse's Barefootz Funnies was on the surface a cute character with some strange friends. In reality it was actually sneakily subversive. Barefootz premiered in Cruse's college newspaper in 1971 and later explored themes including coming out of the closet...when this title began, Cruse wasn't out yet. This original cover in Pen & Ink is very large (14 x 19 inches - CM: 35.5 x 48), excellent condition. * 2 pieces of paper mounted on board, the title is drawn on the separate piece.
