Clay Wilson, the underground master and "dense pack" genius with one crazy scene published as the inside front cover of the Checkered Demon #3 ... titled "The Checkered Demon dukes it out with repugnant mutants over a piece of chicken at the bottom of a crater". Wilson was an important founding member of the Underground Comix scene and content wise was a huge influence on R. Crumb.
