When Tom King got ahold of D.C. Comics' biggest month to month selling title BATMAN he was able to move the caped crusader into new territory away from the natural machismo and Dark Knight persona to one featuring the human side of Gotham's greatest hero. Exploring issues of love and marriage added a level of complexity to the legendary book. Considered an epic run on the well-loved title, this was the issue that had BATMAN proposing marriage to CATWOMAN! Great history making moment for sure, and this is easily one of the coolest images in the entire series! David Finch is a multiple award-winning (U.S.A. and Europe) artist with over 25 years' experience in the comics field. He and Tom won the EISNER in 2017 on Batman for best short story. Pen & ink on paper (11 x 17 inches...CM: 28 x 43), excellent condition.
